In 2017 Play for Progress approached The Affordable Fundraiser to assist both with researching potential trust funders for its work and preparing key applications to national funders which have since included BBC Children in Need, The Foyle Foundation and Arts Council England.  Using the FOCUS service has enabled this young charity to maximise the effectiveness of its investment in fundraising, leading to significant first-time grants for its work.

James came on board during a period of significant growth. He has been under great pressure to yield results for us efficiently and cost-effectively, as we have a restricted budget, and he has delivered. The vital services we provide for a vulnerable community is largely dependent upon funds from trusts and grants, and James has been crucial in ensuring not only that we can continue, but that we can expand. We consider him a part of the Play for Progress family, and are grateful for the work that he continues to do to ensure our young people are cared for.’

In October 2018, Services For Education approached The Affordable Fundraiser to discuss how it might assist in developing trusts and grants fundraising for the charity.  They subsequently took up the FULL-TIME service in January 2019 and swift progress was made not only in submitting a range of smaller applications to local trusts, but also assisting in securing significant multi-year grants for the organisation’s expanding music education programme.

‘James has been a great support for Services For Education, giving us the additional resource and expertise we needed to expand the range and number of trusts and grants that we are able to approach and thus secure funding from.’
