In November 2009 Open Eye invited The Affordable Fundraiser to investigate potential sources of funding both for the gallery’s imminent capital redevelopment and its future arts education and community work. The research identified an initial base of over 90 funding bodies, trusts and foundations applicable to Open Eye’s work, and applications were subsequently submitted for the capital redevelopment, quickly yielding funds for the project.
